REMINDER – Market on the Green

REMINDER – Market on the Green will be on tomorrow – SUNDAY 25th September

As the weather shades from summer warmth into autumn chills – do join us on Sunday to celebrate the positives of this lovely season.

There are now nineteen Scarecrows that have taken up residence around the village Pick up a Trail Leaflet from the box beside the Scarecrow couple seated on  the round bench opposite the Lodge, or at the entrance to the Market.
The Prizegiving for the winning scarecrows will take place at the Market on Sunday at 12 o’clock – so do come along and check out the winners.

Bring along any spare produce you may have – from Apples and other fruit, to vegetables, and  to preserves*.  They will be displayed in the central Community Gazebo of the Market.  We will be asking visitors to the Market to purchase this produce with a donation.  Donations will be given to the Kindness Cooperative in North Berwick, who will be helping to support local families in what will be a difficult winter via their food bank..

Dirleton Primary will have their own stall of juice and produce  made in the school from their Orchard Harvest.  The Market will also be supporting them with a donation.

Luechie House will also be fund-raising with a tombola and have promised to join our harvest theme.

The Market is open from 11am to 3pm and the weather forecast looks fine!

Do come along!

*Unfortunately we are unable to accept donations of home baking, as the current legislation of Natasha’s Law requires detailed labelling of ingredients.
