Dirleton Market on the Green takes place five times a year in the beautiful village green setting of one of East Lothian’s prettiest conservation villages.
It is a friendly and welcoming Community Market run by volunteers to support local businesses and fundraising groups in East Lothian.
Each Market comprises approximately twenty stalls in smart green and white gazebos featuring a wide range of products – food & drink; crafts & gifts; collectibles & lifestyle, jewellery & wearables and much more! There is ‘on-the-go’ food, snacks and ice creams available from two vans.
When Markets take place on Dirleton village green on Sundays between 11am and 3pm. The remaining dates for 2022 are May 29th, July 31st, September 25th and November 27th.
The stalls at each Market are a mix of popular favourites and new businesses. Plus seasonal activities and fundraising involving local groups and demonstrations
Make a day out of your visit to Dirleton Market on the Green. Dirleton is a conservation village of pantiled cottages, trees and gardens surrounding a large village green overlooked by historic Dirleton Castle. Tasty meals are available at the Open Arms and the Castle Inn, and the Amalfi Café has snacks and ice creams. Yellowcraig is a wonderful ‘bucket and spade’ beach with scenic walks along the Forth and a children’s playpark. Nearby are other pretty East Lothian villages – Aberlady and Gullane; and North Berwick is a great mix of old fashioned seaside resort, trendy shops and eateries.
