About the Fete & Games
The Fete & Games has been held in the village for over 100 years. It is a fun day out for all age groups, with traditional stalls, races, sideshows, competitions and refreshments, and is also an important fundraiser for local charities – the profits from the 2022 Fete & Games were shared amongst nine local charities, including a substantial donation to a local charity supporting those most in need as a result of the cost-of-living crisis. They also fund the village Christmas tree and Christmas lights.
The Fete & Games is only made possible thanks to the support of the volunteers on the Committee and additional volunteers from the village and surrounding area. The Committee is currently looking for volunteers for this year’s event, so if you think you could spare some time to ensure the continued success of the event, please do get in touch. The level of commitment needed is very flexible – it can range from just 1 or 2 hours helping on the day, to a few days planning and running one of the stalls or events.
