The Local Plan Plan
As many of you may have heard, the DVA is looking to produce its Local Place Plan which needs to be submitted to East Lothian Council in mid-June. We would like all villagers who are interested in seeing the proposed submission, to come to the KirkHall at 7pm to see and discuss the draft plans. Following this we will be able toupdate the plan as appropriate before we submit it. The current draft is very muchbased on the information which many of you provided during our open afternoon in the Kirk hall in March. This document outlines the wishes of our community for the next 10 years. There is still time to add your comments please click on the Place Assessment Tool / 0ur Place. The date for completion has been extended to 16th May 2024.
Attached is the draft Dirleton Place Plan alternatively you can scan the QR code on the poster.

SCIO
As you may also be aware, it is proposed that the DVA should be restructured as a SCIO (Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation). This will create the corporate structure which will be a prerequisite of funding the purchase of the old village hall, which is under consideration. We will shortly circulate a draft of the constitution which will be required for this if the project proceeds. We are very happy to take comments at this stage before arranging a separate meeting in the future to vote on the new plan.
